Centre Hastings Secondary School

"If you are not part of the solution then you might be part of the problem!" is just one of the announcements the students at Centre Hastings Secondary School have heard this school year. Under the leadership of teacher, Ian McGregor, many projects and challenges have been discussed, and several projects have been undertaken.

Increased recycling has occurred throughout the school;
Student awareness reminders through announcements and draws have continued throughout the year;
EarthCARE t-shirts have been ordered;
Vermi-composting has been continuous and will be used both in the Green house planting and during spring planting;
Participation in the Downtown Revitalization project has been an effective way to reach out in the community.
