District School Council Presentation

Sustainability is the challenge for EarthCARE in HPEDSB this year. With that in mind several presentations will be taking place, as the goal is to educate as many audiences as possible so that the EarthCARE message can be broadened and deepened.

October 4th was the date of the recent District School Council Presentation. In attendance were many of our Hastings and Prince Edward District School council executives and the school principals. The audience was increased through technology and web conferences in both the North and in Prince Edward school groups.

The message presented by both EarthCARE coordinator Veronica Ford and the CoeHill teacher rep, Lisa Resmer was "together we can make a difference". An overview of the activities of the last 2 years was presented in a slideshow format. Lisa most eloquently discussed the various student and staff activities from one school's perspective.

Goal setting and sharing with community partnerships will continue to challenges for this school year.
