An Environmental Visit to Frankford

Once again Sally Landry, EarthCARE teacher rep in her school invited EC Coordinator, Veronica Ford to visit her class and discuss possible activities for this coming school year. Students were challenged with an Environmental Quiz and three teams were awarded prizes for their expertise in environmental matters.

Resources such as the video of Raffi and the Kids for Saving Earth singing their 'Promise Song' were shared. Students were encouraged to use videos and songs as part of an assembly to encourage others to participate in EarthCARE activities. Litterless lunches, Boomerang Lunches, LOCO (lights off, computers off), recycling and reusing, garbage clean ups were just a few of the suggestions for this year.
