Training "Kick Starts" School Year for EarthCARE Teams!
November 13, 2006
Approximately 250 staff and students participated in the recent fall EarthCARE training held on October 2nd and 3rd and on November 2nd. The goal was to have every school in our district represented and trained this fall.
The focus of the half-day training was celebration and planning for Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board. Last year's successful
results such as the $150, 000. 00 energy savings were shared. All participating schools seemed very proud of the accomplishments in their first year of this initiative. Ideas were shared and future school activities were discussed and planned.
The focus for this school year is to build on the successes of the past year and to out-perform last year in all areas of energy, waste and water reduction.
Based on our current results Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board will be an enthusiastic and successful team. Way to go, HPEDSB!
