On Friday, Nov. 4/11 the EarthCARE Team hosted the training session for all of the northern schools. During this special meeting we started out by making posters to show the other students what our school was doing to help the Earth. Then we used a white board to make a flag which showed what we do around Maynooth P.S. for the environment.

One of our next activities was to make an "Earth Friendly Machine" with our bodies. Then we served some healthy food snacks. We had an EarthCARE quiz and the Maynooth team won! So we all got an Earth friendly prize. Then we made "Trading-cards" to tell the others what we do around our school. We do LOCO, yard tidy-up on Earth Day, we have litterless lunches and try to keep our classrooms clean. Our next event will be a "Boomerang" lunch which means that what garbage is in your lunch, you have to take home. Hopefully, no one will have any garbage and will bring reusable containers instead.
