Maynooth P.S. Hard at Work!

Students at Maynooth Public School are hard at work on several projects for EarthCARE. Each classroom has been provided with a "kitchen composter", which staff take home to compost. In the library, Red Wigglers are busy helping with the composting effort. The EarthCARE team reports that: "more students are actively recycling." In fact some of the parents are getting on board with the purchase of more reusable luncheon ware.

The grade six class is getting much more aware of their influence on the environment as they have worked on a unit involving Native people. One student noted: "that our lives are similar because we care about the environment and depend on the environment just as much." This awareness has created a stronger effort by everyone.
