Trainings May Have Missed Some Schools But They are Catching Up!

December 23, 2009

One of the problems we face each year with our fall EarthCARE trainings is that not all of our schools are available on the dates chosen. Although we offer several trainings and try to locate them for geographical convenience and also to lessen our environmental footprint, it doesn't always work for everyone. Recently several schools have contacted EarthCARE coordinator Veronica Ford and had individual team and school trainings. Teacher rep, Anne MacInnis at Hillcrest Public School and her team of many students participated eagerly in such as training at their school. Students listened attentively and asked many questions. Following the training, the students were excited to plan activities to cover the school year calendar.

Maynooth Public School students, under the direction of teacher rep Karen Berry also enjoyed a recent individual training. They too, listened attentively, asked many questions and enthusiastically started planning their greening activities. Frankford Public School rep, Sally Landry and Harmony teacher rep, Barb Deuwel also met recently with Mrs. Ford to share ideas regarding this upcoming year.

Some schools may have started a little later this year, but they are enthusiastically 'catching up'!
