The EarthCARE team with the support of Team Leader, Anne Sproule, is busy with the many activities in the school. They are responsible for the recycling – collecting and sorting what goes in the bin, and have made signs for LOCO – lights off computers off. The computer lab is shut off if a class is not booked for a period. They participate in cleaning their schoolyard each year and in the Fall and Spring Cleaning the Capital event. Meadowlands also participated in Earth Hour and hope you did too.
The students are working on a play 'Recycling Maniac' about 'reusing' that will be performed at lunchtime in the classes while the students are eating. They are also preparing for a spring sale of their plant cuttings, bead creations, etc created from recycled materials. Meadowlands is an active EarthCARE team.
