EarthCARE was invited to participate in Ottawa University's Transition to Practice
Conference: 'Environmental Education' on April 23, 2008.
Over thirty keen new teachers attended the workshop presented by Rose-Marie Batley, Executive Director of EarthCARE Canada and Doris Davidson, Project Coordinator for the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board.
The workshop challenged the participants to create a culture of environmental
stewardship and caring in their classroom. Discussion and activities focused
on what a 'green classroom' looks like, sounds like, and behaves like and how
to include environmental issues in daily school life.
