EarthCARE, An Environmental Education Partnership ™

Gloucester High School

February 8, 2010

Gloucester High School’s EarthCARE team did their part in educating the students during the holiday season. The team especially Jason Hlaing, put together a demonstration in the school lobby regarding energy usage. They demonstrated the difference between disposable and rechargeable batteries through the use of two battery-powered vehicles Jason built, with he rechargeable lasting longer and providing more power.

They also demonstrated the difference in use of energy in Led rights versus the incandescent lights and how electromagnetic flashlights (the ‘shake and use’ ones) never require batteries and last forever.

Way to go EarthCARE team at Gloucester! Together we can make a difference.
