Waste Reduction Week in Canada

Glebe students and staff participated in the Waste Reduction Week in Canada, October 15 to 19th, by bringing litterless lunches to school. TWIGS members posted signs throughout the school to advertise the activity. Oral and written announcements were made to remind everyone to bring food and drinks in recyclable/reusable containers. Although TWIGS didn't have a measurable assessment of this activity, custodians noticed that the garbage bins were not as full as usual. We hope to repeat the litterless lunch week in semester 2.
