Students
When students are involved in environmental initiatives, such as EarthCARE,
things happen! If you would like your school or board to learn more about
EarthCARE and participate in the program, there are many actions you can
take:
Write a letter or send and email to your Principal, Director
of Education, and/or the Chair of your Board and tell them
what you know about EarthCARE asking them how it could be
a part of your board's program.
Make a presentation to your School Council and tell them
why you want to participate in EarthCARE.
Ask people to check out the EarthCARE website to learn more
about the program.
Talk to your custodian about getting an environmental program
started in the school.
Teachers are the key facilitators in the EarthCARE program.
Your actions and attitudes have a significant impact on the
leaders of tomorrow. If you are interested in participating
in EarthCARE, talk to your principal. Share this website with
your colleagues. Try some of the EarthCARE
environmental lesson
plans and activities and learn first hand the benefits of
the program. Work with a group of like-minded teachers, students,
administrators, and parents to make a presentation to senior
staff about EarthCARE and why you want to be more involved.
