EarthCARE provides programs for school boards that: Protect the planet Promote environmental stewardship Save thousands of dollars

The EarthCARE Audit
	In 2009-2010, EarthCARE saved the Ottawa-Carleton and Hastings/Prince Edward boards over $1.9 million and reduced CO2 emissions by over 18 tonnes. Read the details in the OCDSB (pdf) and the HPEDSB (pdf) final reports.

July 6, 2011 - Check out the Focus on Books section, we've just added a novel study unit for J.G. McKenney's Eon's Door, a fantasy adventure story with a strong envinonmental theme.

May 28, 2011 - Calling all youth who are passionate about the environment! Do you know how to use a video camera? We know you do! Why not enter Capital Solar Power’s video contest for youth age 13 to 25. Just make a video 2 to 4 minutes in length about the benefits of solar energy (and how you can make money off solar energy by running energy back into the grid). January 28, 2011 - Student saves school $2,000 annually - grade 6 Stirling Senior School student, Hayden West featured in The Community Press for his efforts to reduce paper consumption at his school.

News and Events

April 24, 2010 - Concert, Exhibition and Award Show. Celebrate Earth Week with Earth Day Ottawa on April 24th at the Canadian Museum of Nature. This is a Mini Folk Festival with performances for children from 11:00 to 1:00 and performances for all ages from 1:30 to 3:30. The concert is free and admission to the Museum is free before noon.
