As part of the training session today we heard some great ideas from the schools in attendance to support EarthCARE. Here's a couple from each one that spoke:
Sir Wil:- clothing exchange/ pep rally to introduce LOCO
Sir Guy: they're developing a 7 min video to focus on LOCO and recycling for distibution in school
OTLC: is involved in the Think Green Program to facilitate ink cartridge and cell phone recycling/ their horticulture program will seel plants at cost to schools for their gardens or classrooms
Col By: they have established a butterfly garden/ putting plants in every classroom
Lisgar:- they are working on a garden/ a Board for sharing information/ power point presentation about the work they are doing
Elizabeth WW: with the support of their custodian they have a successful "Butts out" program/developing a puppet show for an elementary schooland a paper making activity
Nepean: composting program/ putting the garbage cans beside recycling cans to get things in the right place
[blue]SRB: plastic bag collection- putting tube socks around the school to collect them and then sending them to local Food Bank

Glebe: have signs on lights and computers/ battery drive
Canterbury: "Buy Nothing Day"/ special rewards for students who walked to school during International Walk to School Week

They've done a great job, well done and many thanks. Check out what the afternoon schools shared!
