In the afternoon session schools aagin shared some of the things they are doing in their schools. Great ideas for other schools to consider.
Ridgemont:they have 3 strategies to encourage and support recycling/enviro facts posted on the walls in their cafeteriaOTHS: stickerson lights and computers/ litterless lunchesJohn McCrae:pop tab drives and contests/ composting
Sth Carleton: battery and ink cartridge collection
Bell: coffee house to showcase EC and fundraise to thank their Volunteer GardnerAdult HS: LOCO/ thermostat check in every room/ articles in local newspaper
Frederick Banting: "Banting Bargain Barn"-clothing and stuff sale- to save thing from the landfill and do a little fundraising
West Carleton: movies at lunch about the environment/ special speakers for staff and studentsEarl Of March:lesson plans distributed to every teacher according to subject area/ LOCO initiatives

There were so many ideas from the schools it was impossble to list them all. The schools have been asked to post their individual reports on the forum- keep an eye out for the postings.
