HELLO TEAM LEADERS!!!
I hope and trust all is well. Best of the Holidays to you and your family and may 2005 be a special and memorable year!
I would like all the Team Leaders to register with the EC forum and whether it is through you or EC members at your school, we want to hear about those fall environmental successes. Please submit and share your school's successes on the EC forum!!
Also, if there are any EC members who would like to assist Maria Zoretic, our EC Expo coordinator, with the planning and implementation of the Expo, please respond and I'll make sure Maria uses your time, energy and ideas in a most significant way. The only way something like the EarthCARE Expo is a success is through the commitment to such worthwhile, volunteer activities and programs.
Come on and sign up right now!!See yourself making a difference!! |

Yes. I would like to help with EC Expo. I am the Team Leader at Metcalfe P.S. I also want to pass along some interesting web sites and information which may be useful to others. At Metcalfe Public School we have three teachers, including myself, participating in an Eco-Pals program. This program
matches your class up with another school in the province so you can learn what other schools across Canada are doing to protect the environment and reduce waste in their schools. The address for information about Eco Pals is available below.
The Green Goup Fax: 416-487-0601
164 Corleigh Blvd. E-mail: ecopals@green-group.com
Toronto, Ont. Web site: www.green-group.com

There is also a company in Kelowna, B.C. called Wild Things. Wild Things sells the Robert Bateman Special Occasion Calendars, tote bags, greeting cards, stuffed toys such as the Whooping Crane and Burrowing Owl, to schools for fundraising events. The products are terrific for promoting the protection of endangered species. We have these products at our school. For information about obtaining information about these products visit www.gettoknow.ca The Robert Bateman Writing and Art Contest may be of some interest to some students. If their art entry is selected it appears in the Robert Bateman Special Occasion Calendar for 2006.
Hope this information is useful.
Bye for now,
EW

Thanks for the great information on the websites and other opportunities. This will make our site a richer resource for schools and teachers.
