5 Step Engagement Process
- Co-creation
- Personal awareness
- Partnership awareness
- Experiential, discovery-based learning
- Accountability + Reflection
In EarthCARE, our engagement process moves us from the data and
information into the realm of knowledge and wisdom. EarthCARE provides
opportunities for us to discover, inquire, share results, seek input,
involve stakeholders, measure results and reflect upon the impact
of our actions. Our five-step process is the key to moving along
the path from participation to engagement.
EarthCARE Delivery Strategies
Key Strategies
EarthCARE relies on three key delivery strategies which make it both unique and successful.
EarthCARE is a student-driven program designed to capture the natural
enthusiasm of youth through our youth engagement strategy and to channel
this into leadership and action. The program is linked to child development
and connects with students at all grade levels.
By engaging the building operators in a similar strategy, EarthCARE
acquires the knowledge and expertise of these staff and enables them
to operate their buildings more efficiently as well as become key players
in the EarthCARE teams.
Each board develops a customized project plan to suit its needs and
resources. A key success element is the partnership component. EarthCARE
relies on participants working together for a better outcome. A framework
for developing and managing partnerships is provided. The project management
assistance helps to ensure the results.
Each of these strategies seeks to engage all stakeholders to work towards
a goal of a better planet. Learn more about how EarthCARE
is implemented at the board level, with teachers and facilities managers,
and with students.
